The Princess of Pop is back! After a whirlwind wedding, Britney Spears is all set to return to the music world with Sir Elton John for a duet.

As per Page Six, Spears has recorded a duet version of John’s 1971 song, Tiny Dancer with him at a Beverly Hills recording studio. Universal Music is expected to release the duet in August 2022.

An insider shared with Page Six, “This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a full duet — and it is incredible.” The duet is being produced by Grammy award winner, Andrew Watt and was recorded at his super-secret recording studio.

The last time Spears released music was her 2016 album, Glory

Some of Tiny Dancer’s lyrics are:

Ballerina

You must've seen her

Dancing in the sand

And now she's in me

Always with me

Tiny dancer in my hand

Other debuts: Tiny Dancer isn’t the only song that John has re-recorded as a duet. Earlier this year, John released Cold, Cold Heart with Dua Lipa – a combination of Rocket Man and Sacrifice, both hits by John.

What's happening in Britney's life: On July 15, Spears shared a video on her Instagram of her singing her hit, Baby One More Time and wrote, “I haven’t shared my voice in an extremely long time … maybe too long … and here’s me playing at my house with a different version of Baby.”

News of Britney’s comeback comes after her wedding to long-time boyfriend, Sam Asghari on June 9 this year. The wedding took place at the couple’s house in California and was attended by guests like Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore.

More Spears news this year: After the end of her widely criticised conservatorship, Spears announced her new memoir in February 2022.

Any guesses on whether this her and John's collaboration will make it to the book?
