Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal goes on a box office rampage, earning Rs 425 crore worldwide in 4 days

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has created a storm at the box-office minting Rs 425 crore in just four days. The film collected Rs 40.06 crore on its first Monday, beating the first Monday collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan.

While Jawan had made Rs 32.92 crore on its first Monday, Pathaan collected Rs 29.92 crore. Though Animal is behind Jawan and Pathaan over the fourth day collection, it is still staring at Rs 500 crore at the box office.

Biggest opener for Ranbir Kapoor

• Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ranbir Kapoor has hit it out of the park in his first action movie itself.
• The movie opened to a mammoth Rs 63.08 crore on its first day pan India in all languages, making it the biggest opener ever for Ranbir Kapoor.
• The collection went a bit further Saturday (December 2), with Animal making Rs 66.27 crore on its second day.
• The third day collection, on Sunday, hit the roof. The movie made Rs 71.46 crore in all languages in india.
• The box office collection was expected to see a drop on the first Monday, but the movie kept its momentum, collecting Rs 40.06 crore total.
• Animal’s net India collection stands at Rs 245.49 crore, the highest for Ranbir Kapoor in his career.
• Ranbir’s earlier release Brahmastra: Part One had made approximately Rs 142 crore in four days.
• Animal has already broken the worldwide total record of Brahmastra: Part One, which was Rs 418 crores, as Animal has already made Rs 425 crore.
• As per Sacnilk website, Animal’s four days worldwide total stands at Rs 132.40 crore.

A no-holds-barred Ranbir

• Animal shows Ranvijay Balbir Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) as an emotional, possessive son who longs for the love of his father Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), but Balbir has a dislike for his son because of his brash attitude.

Ranvijay goes to America after being shunned by his father, but returns eight years later, only to take revenge against the people who tried to assassinate Balbir Singh.

• He becomes the revenge-taking-son who will go at any length to hunt down the perpetrators much against his father’s will.
• Ranvijay not just develops a cold relation with his father, but also develops differences with his wife Geetanjali (Rashmika Mandana) who sees a different side of her husband.
• While a section of the audience has shown its reservation for the misogyny shown in Animal, the movie still is doing rave collections at the box office.
• The icing on the cake for Animal is also Bobby Deol's presence in the second half. Deol leaves a lasting impression on the viewers despite his short role. Deol plays, Abrar Haque, the mute, estranged cousin of Ranvijay. 
• The movie at the end also promises a sequel which has increased the excitement of the fans.
