Iconic American boy band NSYNC's fans, including Taylor Swift, were left in awe and erupted into frenzy as they witnessed the members of NSYNC reunite on the MTV Video Music Awards stage for the first time in a decade on Tuesday night, September 12, at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
All the '90s kids couldn't contain their excitement as they saw all five members of NSYNC—Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and JC Chasez—reunite on the VMA stage to present the award for Best Pop Video. The crowd roared with cheers when they saw them together onstage.
Also, Taylor Swift was completely starstruck as the band took the stage.
Before announcing the winner, Chasez reminisced, "Over 20 years ago, we were here when we won Best Pop Video for 'Bye Bye Bye.' It was our first VMA, and it meant the world to us."
After announcing that Taylor Swift had won the Best Pop Video award for her hit song "Anti-Hero," the American singer stepped onto the stage to accept the trophy and deliver her acceptance speech, during which she couldn't contain her excitement over NSYNC.
Swift was over the moon and expressed, "I’m not transitioning well from this to this. I had your dolls. Are you planning something? What's going to happen now? They're going to do something, and I need to know what it is." She added, "You personify pop, and receiving this award from your golden pop hands is truly overwhelming."
Lance Bass even presented Taylor Swift with a friendship bracelet as she hugged each band member onstage.
Swift also expressed her gratitude to the band members for the friendship bracelets.
The last time NSYNC members were together at the MTV VMAs was back in 2013.
