Why is Reddit calling the family meeting in The Kardashians finale staged?

Hulu’s The Kardashians Season1 premiered its final episode on June 16. Other than Pete Davidson’s surprise appearance, there was another moment that fans noticed during the episode, and they suspect that it was completely staged.

Currently available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar in India, the final episode focused on Khloe Kardashian discovering that Tristan Thompson had confirmed he had a baby with another woman. First uncovered by Kim Kardashian, the episode followed the family’s reaction to the news.

The news broke in late November 2021.

At one point, viewers got to see a family meeting taking place between Kim, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, after news about Thompson broke.  

It was the family meeting that caused commotion among viewers, as eagle-eyed fans noticed Kourtney wearing the same black jumpsuit she was photographed in with Travis Barker and their kids on January 31 for dinner.

Moreover, fans also noticed that Kourtney was sporting the same chrome nails in the scene as in January.

In a Reddit thread, a user wrote, “The family meeting was filmed January 31st based on Kourtney’s outfit, Khloe found out end of November/beginning of December when the documents leaked and she did attend Christmas with the fam so meeting was staged.”

One user also mentioned that the reason why Kim talked about the Kardashian's photoshoot for their new show was so that they could convince viewers that the meeting took place in December 2021.

The entire revelation indicates that the family meeting was shot much later than the rest of the show but was showed to occur when the news originally broke.

Viewers also criticised Kim’s behaviour during the family meeting in another Reddit thread.

One user wrote, “All the references to Kim’s divorce and her moving on with Pete all being thrown in Khloé’s face while she’s taking in more of the most devastating news of her life is completely inappropriate. I am so disappointed, everything is not about Kim. She is really becoming so insufferable. Khloé handled it well and with grace, but damn this time can it just be about Khloé and only Khloé????”

While this may come as a shock to some, the Kardashians are known for staging events, reciting lines during the show and excessively photoshopping their Instagram posts.
