Jallikattu: Sounds all bull to this north Indian

1. Tradition

I'm sure what we did in 400-100 BC is not what we still want to do. The only such tradition still followed is what we saw in the Flintstones - right? Can't imagine giving you four chickens and a bag of rice for school fees in the age of Digital India. (Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, right?)

2. Employment

I'm sorry but the bull doesn't need a job and people have better ways of gainfully employing themselves.

3. Pride

The last time we humans took pride was when we saw the Indian flag wave at the sports arena when the country won something. Pain may start with the same alphabet as Pride but they don't quite mean the same thing.

4. Special bull

If the bull actually has an aggressive bent of mind it may need to see a vet-shrink the arena is not exactly helping. So let's call him the bull with special needs and move towards that direction like we do for ourselves.

5. The law

The law has many sections and acts under which it's termed an offence if we still want to ignore the law then let's ignore right to freedom and see how it pans out for us.
