Quirky spells style for this week with novelty gaining currency and innovation being inspiration. With bejewelled headphones from fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana to monkey lamps and angry Rhino lamps from the best of Salone del Mobile's case of creative whimsy. And no, we are not talking about Rihanna's much-parodied sunshine yellow dress with its serpentine train for the Met Gala, but more about George Clooney's ageless style.

D&> headphones
Bejewelled headphones with fur trim around the ears and matching phone cases; embellishment was an add-on with every accessory at Dolce & Gabbana. The glittering headwear was a collaboration with the brand Frends and appeared on the runway in red, gold, and green; almost like a sparkly hybrid between earmuffs and headsets.

Quirky lamps
Charmingly eccentric, the highlight of Salone del Mobile's Euroluce, the biennial of the fair dedicated to lighting, were Italian brand Seletti's Monkey Lamp collection of, obviously, lamps that look like monkeys.
Pistacchi Design cobbles together "AnimoSphere", the exhibition theme for Salone 2015 with a hint of humour and whimsical design. Their "Gotcha!" series includes animal-themed lamps in the most atypical postures, challenging traditional stereotypes: a dog peeing, an angry rhino chasing a man and a chameleon nosing his way up. Amiable eccentricity seems to be the abiding theme.
Met Look of the Week
Fashion
Some men are forever in style. And George Clooney is definitely one of them. Joining his gorgeous wife on the red carpet of this year's Met Gala, Clooney showed that he's indeed the man among all the boys around. His Giorgio Armani tuxedo with tails along with a white vest and a tucked-in red handkerchief was everything style perfection is about. Take from the man - classic wins hands down.
Travel
One&Only Hayman Island
If you're planning a vacation to Australia, you may like to include the One&Only Hayman Island in your itinerary especially if eating is the way to your heart. The hotel will be collaborating with the talented "Bentley Boys", Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt, from June 19-21 to create a weekend of epicurean indulgence in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Along with the chefs of One&Only Hayman Island, Brent Savage, the current The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Chef of the Year, and his business partner Nick Hildebrandt, the Australian Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the Year, will create a Whitsundays version of their Sydney restaurant group - Bentley Restaurant & Bar, Monopole and Yellow. What to expect? The stunning backdrop of the Coral Sea, sunset cocktails with cured wagyu pastrami, goats curd and pickled cucumber and slow-cooked octopus with green herbs and fennel salsa. And that's just on day one. The second day will usher a wine masterclass with a menu featuring Rangers Valley wagyu with black olive, mustard and fennel and lobster with celtuce and brown butter.
Luxury real estate
House of style
What's the most important thing when building a home? Location, location, location. And we don't just mean the posh locality status. It's all about the luxuriant views, especially of the surroundings. Keeping this in mind, Home & Soul launched F Premiere, in association with Fashion TV. The stylish apartments located on Yamuna Expressway overlook the F1 Track. If that wasn't enough, the strategic tie-up ensures that the residences look chic and attract the swish set. Besides amenities like swimming pool (for adults and children), gym, aerobics centre, amphitheatre, skating rink, badminton, tennis and basketball court, and a kids play area, the building also has a Sky lounge on the 22nd and 23rd floor exclusively for residents. An international standard golf course and cricket stadium in its vicinity add to the luxe quotient. F Premiere currently has on offer two and three bedroom apartments.
