Rahul daCunha captures the ageing Parsi community

For a while now the Parsis as a community have fascinated me.

I have grown up with them, and admired their cultural passion and their community pride.

Of late their "Jiyo Parsi" campaign has caused much consternation in the community. The fears of the community becoming extinct have become quite real with numbers dipping to 69000.

But for me, there is no community I enjoy shooting more. I have spent many hours, unobtrusively walking around their many "baugs" (colonies) scattered all over Mumbai.

Their special brand of aged, is just priceless.

Each wrinkle telling us a story of humour and hardship.
