The world's richest man and the new Twitter boss, Elon Musk is so active on the micro-blogging website that his tweets need a newsletter of itself. We went through Musk's tweets to separate the trash from important announcements regarding the social media platform.

Here is all you need to know about his tweets:

Elon Musk tells Americans how to vote: This is the first time a billionaire CEO has in so clear terms asked followers how to vote during elections.

  • Musk asked Americans to vote for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections to curb "the worst excesses of both parties".
  • He said that since the Presidency is Democratic, so the Congress should be Republican.
  • Well, Musk has some bone to pick with the Biden government which wants to tax billionaires and give more tax incentives to union made electric vehicles and Tesla has no union.
  • On the other hand, Musk also tweeted that he has a history of voting for Democrats.

Twitter usage increasing? Musk also boasted that Twitter usage is at an all-time high and that he hopes the servers won't melt.

  • Musk shared a screenshot showing Twitter's daily user growth.
  • Twitter monetisable daily user growth increased over 20%.

  • This is despite the trend of several Twitter users switching ships to platforms like Mastodon or Koo in India.
  • Musk also tweeted and then deleted a jab at Mastodon, calling it 'Masterbatedone'.

  • But advertisers aren't really making a beeline for Twitter given the uncertainty about the platform and US midterm elections.

Comedy legal on Twitter? That's what Musk said when he took over Twitter "standing for absolute free speech".

  • But it seems like comedy is only tolerated on Twitter when it doesn't make fun of Twitter boss Elon Musk himself.
  • Comedian Kathy Griffin Twitter account was suspended permanently for 'impersonating' Musk and trolling the billionaire. Musk is still facing backlash for the action.
  • In response, Musk wrote that Griffin can get her account back if she pays $8 in Twitter Blue subscription. Does that mean all genuinely problematic account suspensions can return after paying for it?

  • As for Kathy Griffin, the comedian took to using her dead mother's Twitter account to protest the ban! What a day!

Weird Al plays a prank: Twitter is currently obsessed with Elon Musk banning accounts left, right and center. And how to use the opportunity to play peak comedy? Weird Al Yankovic has an answer -

  • American Singer Weird Al tweeted that actor Daniel Radcliff's Twitter account got suspended by Elon Musk for playing Weird Al in a parody movie (Weird: The Al Yankovic Story).

  • And the singer managed to convince most of his fans about the same leading to some hilarious responses.

  • But turns out, it was a prank. Is Elon Musk seeing this? Of course, he is!

Twitter rules: Musk posted the update on Twitter rules, which he said will evolve over time. The rules are mostly the same with a few additions. Here are some key things you may want to remember -

  • Impersonation is against the rules and parody accounts have to explicitly say that they are parodies.
  • Video content cannot have third-party advertising or pre-roll video ads or sponsorship graphics without consent.
  • Musk had also warned that any accounts impersonating someone without labeling their accounts 'PARODY' will be suspended without warning.

Birdwatch vs Community Notes: Elon Musk and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey had a little argument on Twitter over a name.

  • They are talking about Twitter's Birdwatch program, a collaborative, community-driven feature helping add context to tweets.
  • During this argument, Musk also suggested infighting at Twitter calling insiders 'Angry birds'.
