K-pop boy band BTS' Jungkook is set to make his solo debut on Good Morning America (GMA) this Friday, July 14. The performance will coincide with the release of his solo album, "Seven."
BTS has been a regular presence on GMA since its debut performance of "The Idol" in 2018. The group has since performed on the show several times, including a headlining performance at the 2019 Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.
They performed live at the Central Park, New Yorl City with their hit tracksĀ Ā "Fire" and "Boy With Luv."Ā
BTS was featured in a special interview on November 23, 2020, on Good Morning America.Ā The interview highlighted how the group created new music to uplift their fans during the pandemic, and they also performed their hit song "Dynamite."
Their last group performance for the Summer Concert Series was on May 31, 2021, with a virtual two-song performance which was also displayed at the giant screens of New York City's Times Square. BTS performedĀ their two award wining songs, "Butter" and "Dynamite" kicking off the Summer Series.
In 2022, BTS announced a temporary hiatus from performing together and posted a videoĀ onĀ their official YouTube channel. The group did not disclose as to why they were taking a break, but fans despite of being heartbroken agreed to support their decision
But now we all know thatĀ it was because of their compulsory military service. Since some of the members like Jin and J-hope have already started their service, the band did not want to perform as an incomplete group but perform once they have completed their military services.
On July 9, 2023, 'Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS was published. The book is a biography of BTS as a band. Even though they were not performing together for a while, Big Hit made sure to serve fans with this piece, in no time the book topped in the Amazon bestsellers.
Despite BTS' break from performing together, fans are thrilled to know that Jungkook, as a solo artist, will be performing live on Good Morning America.

Meanwhile, Jungkook's fans eagerly gathered at Incheon International Airport in South Korea to bid him a safe journey for his upcoming GMA performance.
