Social media influencer Urfi Javed, who remains in news most of the times due to her outlandish outfits, has again landed in a problem because of the way she dresses. Urfi is facing trouble in finding a rented accommodation. She thinks it is because of her outfits and her religion.
The 25-year-old girl, who comes from Lucknow, took to Twitter on January 24 to narrate her agony. "Muslim owners don't want to rent me because of the way I dress, Hindi owners don't want to rent me cause I'm Muslim. Some owners have an issue with the political threats I get. Finding a rental apartment in Mumbai is so tuff," she wrote.
Within a short time, her tweet went viral with many people sympathizing with her. While some also asked her to dress properly to get a accommodation in Mumbai.
A Twitter user who goes by the name, Abhishek Bhalerao, wrote: "Same situation, I hope you get a good place to stay Asap."
Urfi replied to him saying," It's literally Everytime Mahn, single, Muslim, actress- impossible to find a house."
Is Urfi the first one to face this? Though Urfi remains in news because of her controversies, the problem of finding a rented place, especially for Muslims is indeed an issue.
