Many people have bought land on the moon with the dream of living on it in future. But before these owners pack their stuff and take off for our nearest celestial neighbour, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.
Living on the moon is not possible yet. There are several extreme conditions that need to be fixed.
But but but… humans maybe close to realising the dream of living on the moon, now that NASA and experts across the world are working on solving these issues.
Why are we talking about it now though? A new study has revealed that the concerns over temperature on the moon may soon become a thing of the past.
The chances of living on the moon have gotten higher, as research has revealed that some parts of the moon have stable temperatures that are fit for human survival.
This is how: There are pits and caves on the moon where the temperature is 17 degrees Celsius, or say, a December day in Delhi. Quite suitable for human survival.
Not just the temperature; the research has also revealed that these pits could help protect humans from solar radiation, cosmic rays and micrometeorites.
The images taken by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft and computer modelling helped draw the analysis.
This study by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles was published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.
Further studies and findings will help look at the possibility of living on the moon. However, favourable temperatures will also help conduct better research in this area.
