DailyBiteJuly 22, 2016 | 22:49 IST

Shots have been fired at a shopping centre in the Moosach district of Munich, one of Germany's biggest cities, according to reports, with a major police operation under way.

German media has already reported multiple deaths at the scene, though it has not yet been confirmed.

Twitter has been abuzz with a video showing people fleeing from the scene, which has now been cordoned off, according to reports.

Photos and image grabs of heavy security deployment at the site are circulating on Twitter.

However, no confirmation on the number of deaths and persons injured has yet been received.

But tweets showing a video clip of the scene have been posted.

It's still not clear if there are one or more gunmen inside the shopping mall. We'll keep updating this story.
