[Brutal] National-level kabaddi player shot dead in Haryana

Sukhvinder was walking home from practice on Tuesday afternoon when two assailants on scooter shot him twice in the chest. The attackers then pumped a third bullet in his head when he fell down on the road.

"He was returning home when two people came on a two-wheeler and shot him just a few yards away from the house. By the time we reached the spot, he was already dead," Sukhvinder's father Chander Singh said.

The killers were seen fleeing from the crime scene immediately. Sources told India Today that the killers had conducted a recce before carrying out the crime.

In December 2015, another kabbadi player Deepak Kumar alias Deepak Pehalwan was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne men.
