Pakistan terror boat: Government releases video to save face, but what does it prove?

The ministry of defence has released a video of a Pakistani fishing boat in flames on December 31 off the coast of Gujarat. This is the government's attempt to clear the air after DIG Coast Guard BK Loshali was seen in a video saying, "We blew off the Pakistani boat".

Now what does the footage released by the government prove? Nothing substantial. It only shows a boat on fire and plumes of smoke rising from it. There is no audio. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether the boat was fired at by the Coast Guard or if it caught fire on its own.
