Apple's response

While some attributed the overheating to the new titanium construction, Apple attributes it to bugs in the iOS 17 software, certain apps, and the initial setup of the phones.

- Apple told CNN.

  • Specific applications, such as Instagram, Uber, and Asphalt 9, can cause the phone to overheat due to malfunctions, and Apple is collaborating with the app developers to rectify this issue.
  • A bug in the iOS 17 software is also responsible for the overheating problem, and Apple plans to release an update to address it, although no specific release date has been announced.
