Apple Event 2022: iPhone 14 to Apple Watch Series 8, all Apple products and PRICES

The much-awaited Apple Event of the year has concluded. As usual, Tim Cook has asked you to empty your wallets to buy new Apple products.

After all the speculations and rumours, Apple has announced 3 new products - iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods; iPad and Mac fans will have to wait longer.

Here is a brief on all the new products, their specs and most importantly, PRICES:

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

• A sad day for small phone lovers like me; there is no more new iPhone mini. 
• The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come with a new dual-camera system, a crash detection system and a larger size.
• If you are the lucky ones in the US and Canada, your iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will come with a satellite connectivity feature. Now, even if there is no cellular connectivity, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus users will be able to send SOS alerts. It is definitely a life-saver if you get stranded in the most unimaginable of places. And it is free for 2 years. 

PRICE: iPhone 14 will cost Rs 79,900 and iPhone 14 Plus will cost Rs 89,900

Size: iPhone 14 comes with a 6.1-inch display; iPhone 14 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch display

iPhone 14 sales begin September 16 and iPhone 14 Plus will be available from October 7.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Apple Watch Series 8

• The latest Apple Watch Series 8 comes with temperature sensors, a car crash detection system and a low power mode alert.
• The temperature sensor is not for tracking fever instead it allows women to track their ovulation cycle. This can reportedly help those trying to conceive a baby! Not sure if this update will be troublesome for users in the US with anti-abortion laws.

Apple Watch Ultra

There were rumours of Apple launching a Watch series specifically meant for extreme sports/activities. Those rumours were true. 

• Apple Watch Ultra, as it is called, will feature a 49mm display, three brand new straps and customizable action buttons.  
• The 'action button' is the newest addition to Ultra, which can be used for 'interactive workouts'.

PRICE: Rs 89,900 (that's more than the latest iPhone 14)

Apple announced new upgrades for its Watch SE and it will be called Watch SE 2. So, if you are on a budget, you can check out the upgraded version of the Apple Watch SE.

• Now, you can change the volume of the audio using touch controls on AirPod Pro 2. 
• It comes with a new design, a new charging case and extra ear tips.

These are all the new products launched by Apple. Sadly, one of our wishful thoughts that Apple include a USB-C charging portal did not come true. With all the pressure from Europe and Brazil slapping a fine for not including chargers, this should have been rolled out too. 

Those who were waiting for the latest Mac or iPad will have to wait till October.
