Every day we see someone or the other getting cancelled on social media. The cancel culture came into existence as a way of showing your disinterest towards a person or anything happening in the world that may be problematic or offensive.
The concept of cancelling has totally changed these days. Now, people cancel anything and everything without any solid reason (like we told you how woke kids cancelled Ruskin Bond). Celebs and other famous personalities get cancelled for no reason on social media these days.
But other than these non-deserving ones, there are actually a few types of people that should be cancelled or banned from social media without a second thought.
HERE ARE 11 TYPES OF PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE CANCELLED
1. People who tag unknowns
We all have been tagged by at least one unknown person. And this is annoying as hell.
Most of them are on giveaway posts on Instagram or, - yes, even - Twitter.
Hello, how can you tag any random person to win a giveaway? You are surely not winning this one then.
Not just giveaways, people randomly tag others without any reason or reference. Because, mann kar raha tha.
PS: there should be a 'remove tag' option on every social media platform.
2. People who leave random, baseless comments
Have you come across those astrology comments on a famous personality’s post? Like this, for example:
This is a very common sight on social media. Out of nowhere, people sell property, share doctors' numbers, tell your future, share hair loss treatments and what not in the comment section.
3. Those who send weird DMs out of nowhere
Some common types of annoying DMs are: 'hy dr nice DP', 'how are you', 'I need a small help' and 'can I ask you a question?'
These people should be not just be cancelled but banned from social media.
Seriously, jaan na pehchan, tu mera mehmaan?
4. School kids sharing heartbreak posts
Access to the internet has changed a whole lot of things. Kids today are active on social media more than ever. Also, they are experiencing heartbreak at the age of 10, 9, 8, 7... and so on.
Noooooo! Please.
We don’t want philosophy lessons from a 10-year-old. Many are also sharing their life problems.
But finally, schools are open. Kids will have something (useful, we hope) to do.
5. People during the breakup phase
That one Devdas on your list who shares heartbreak posts at midnight needs to be removed RN.
Those heartbreak posts spoil the vibe altogether. Especially when you don't know why the breakup happened in the first place.
6. People with weird usernames
Quite often, people let their creativity spread all over the internet. Such creative heads do not spare their username as well.
As a result, we see those unpronounceable usernames which are too hard to find.
7. People who tag the wrong person
Some internet users are so casual that they tag the wrong person because of a spelling confusion.
It’s acceptable. A little confusion is harmless.
But why don’t they check after tagging someone whether they’ve tagged the right person or not?
8. Travel bloggers who do not mention the location
You have one job!
What is the point of sharing beautiful scenery without mentioning the location?
The same goes for the food bloggers who do not mention the restaurant or eatery where they just had the delicacy they are going ga ga over.
9. People who ask the price of the product when it is already mentioned in the caption
All the small business owners are tired of this.
People constantly ask for the price of the product and write 'Pp' in the comments even when it is clearly mentioned in the caption. And - wait, it's not over yet - ghost the owner after seeing the 'Pp'.
10. Those who share anything and everything, like Chai Peelo
This also includes the influencers and bloggers out there.
Stop sharing every minor detail of your life. Otherwise, you will end up like that chai peelo lady. Remember her? If not, here you go:
11. Those who ask you to like their pictures
We all have a few friends and relatives who text us in person to like their or their kids’ pictures.
What’s the point? The best is not liking those pictures even after the "like my post" text.
