Bigg Boss 11 blog: Why we shouldn't trust who the clear winner is just yet

With the countdown to the grand finale of probably the most controversial season of Bigg Boss already on, the action outside the house seems to be more interesting now, as the four contestants wait for the D-day.

Bigg Boss has given Vikas Gupta a chance to win Rs 9 lakh in a game named “Vikas City”, in which he has to make other housemates obey his rules for two days.  As long as they are obeying and not quitting the task, Vikas will not be able to win the money. While Puneesh has already quit after being asked to shave his head, Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan are still in the game, carrying out Vikas Gupta’s orders.

Social media polls on winner

While the voting lines will be closed on Saturday, Twitter is flooded with polls on who is likely to win. Here are some of them, run by various Twitter users. Many new Twitter accounts have been created just to run polls.

Vikas and Puneesh left behind

Some of the polls have already closed and according to them, Shilpa Shinde is leading with a huge margin. Next to her is Hina Khan, while Vikas and Puneesh are out of the race for the top two. There are people who are closely monitoring the hourly progress of the votes.

Will there be a last-minute change in trend?

The voting trends are surprising as Vikas Gupta is lagging behind Hina Khan, while many had considered him the winner. According to evicted contestants Hiten Tejwani, Arshi Khan, Priyank Sharma and Akash Dadlani, Vikas should win the show. Manveer Gurjar, winner of Bigg Boss Season 10, and actor Kamya Punjabi are also rooting for Vikas.

Shilpa fans, thus, are anxious that there might be a last-minute manipulation to make Vikas the winner of the show. It is to be seen whether their apprehension turns out to be true or whether it's just a ploy by Shilpa's publicists to seek more votes for her. 

Voting craze

For voting, one needs an e-mail Id and from one ID, only one vote can be cast. Fans and publicists have stepped in here, creating multiple IDs to ensure more votes for their contestants. There are people who are creating IDs and offering them to Twitter users for voting.
