As Rupee nosedives, Chetan Bhagat and Kumar Vishwas collide: Twitter amused

News of the Asian economic slowdown and the consequent downturn for the Indian Rupee, it seems, have got the goat of two of the most vocal among our Twitterati. Writer and sometime dance show judge, Chetan Bhagat, had a head-on collision with the poet and Aam Aadmi Party member Kumar Vishwas, when the latter, in a bid to offset Bhagat's 140-character wisdom on economic reforms, current slump, emerging market stocks and the Rupee, retweeted three-year-old tweets by the Half-Girlfriend author, perhaps to demonstrate how governments come and go, CB's grievances stay the same.

Seeing the above, Vishwas RTéd some of Bhagat's older tweets.

Vishwas persisted at his online frolic, which he also punctuated with generous doses of "emojis".

Bhagat, it seems, took umbrage.

Bhagat and Vishwas have become quite the Twitter frenemies. About a month back, the duo had clashed on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's announcement on the odd-even policy to curb the national capital menacing air pollution.

The clash of the Twitter titans left some slightly befuddled but most found the mild altercation perfectly hilarious.
