Guess whom The Simpsons want as US President?

The 2016 US elections have been completely weird. In the last one week, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump picked up a fight with the parents of a martyred US soldier, failed to endorse the party's speaker who had endorsed him, said one of his party's leaders didn't do much for veterans and then kicked a baby out of his rally.

Yet, he's hanging around the 40-point mark, according to recent polls, and America needs some jolting.

In stepped The Simpsons, playing the role of America's conscience, and endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on their show.

The Simpsons trying to save Trump from himself.

Inspired by an ad Hillary ran in 2008, incidentally, against Barack Obama, it shows a phone ringing at the White House at 3 am, asking Americans who they would want to call in a moment of crisis.

The phone rings, Bill Clinton (of course!) picks it up, realises it's for Hillary, who then says, "Yes, from now on, it's always for me."

We then go over to Donald who is just busy Tweeting while China is already in the middle of invading the country. He screams: "Just build another wall! Yes, in the ocean, loser."

One of the world's most popular television shows, The Simpsons has been making fun of Donald Trump since time immemorial.

In March, 2000, in an episode titled Bart to the Future, President Lisa Simpson inherits a mountain of debt from the future Trump presidency. In 2005, they "confused" Trump with a fascist dictator.

Incredibly, in 2009 they actually showed the distress a border wall can cause on a small town!

We wonder if this was where Trump got the idea of his Mexican wall!
