Farhan Akhtar wishing Happy Friendship's Day is too cool for words

Farhan Akhtar is a bro.

He stands for issues he feels strongly about, he makes relaxed, emotionally intelligent films about relationships and sings his heart out. It's been this transition into an out and out singer that has pushed his stardom into a space not many have reached.

The "bro" vibe has always played a part in crafting Farhan's public persona and manifests itself in his filmography.

Friendship and bro'ing out have been common themes throughout films Akhtar has been associated with, with Dil Chahta Hai and Rock On taking the cake. He redefined urban Indian friendships on celluloid with Dil Chahta Hai and more than a decade later, again with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

From his everlasting bond with close friend and business associate Ritesh Sidhwani to using a rotating cast of actors for his first few films, Farhan has always been a bro to the public.
