Rajiv, Indira, Nehru: PM Modi digs up history to hit back at Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit back at the Congress party a day after Rahul Gandhi had attacked the PM over the government's functioning.

While addressing Parliament to give vote of thanks to the president's speech on the opening day of budget session, Modi quoted Congress stalwarts Indira and Rajiv Gandhi to urge the Opposition to let Parliament function smoothly.

While most people on micro-blogging site Twitter were all praises for the PM's "takedown of the opposition", many criticised it on the grounds that "after nearly 2 years of being in power, the PM still speaks like the opposition and not the leader."
