India celebrated its 69th Republic Day on Friday (January 26) with more than usual pomp and splendour. The occasion that marks India’s existence as a democratic republic for almost seven decades is indeed prideworthy. But do Indians realise the sheer weight of this particular day? Let us take a look at how Indians celebrated Republic Day in their own way, on social media.

Big celebrations and Big B. Well, Amitabh Bachchan celebrated Republic Day with - no prizes for guessing - his own photos, as always.

As so did Ranveer Singh, Ravi Kisan and India’s “DJ Waale Babu”, Badshah.

And the Dutch EDM artist Hardwell, for some reason.

And Salman Khan just decided to wish everyone with a title of his own patriotic cinema.

Celebrities don’t change, so why should ordinary people?

As is with the news cycle, the Rajput Karni Sena had a special place, at least in everyone’s hearts:

Speaking of tableaus and parades, who doesn’t love the bike stunts!

But there were a few, who brought with them some reality checks.
