Zomato's new service 'Intercity Legends', through which it delivers popular food items across cities has received mixed responses from users. But being a shareholder MIGHT help you to a certain extent.
You might have heard of the food-delivery platform Zomato's new venture- 'Intercity Legends', that allows customers to order specific popular food items from different cities in India. Zomato is currently piloting the new feature in Gurugram and South Delhi, where its testing delivery of these popular food items across cities in 24 hours.
In this service, you can order select items like:
1. Baked Rosogollas from Kolkata,
2. Biryani from Hyderabad,
3. Mysore Pak from Bengaluru,
4. Kebabs from Lucknow, and
5. Butter chicken from Old Delhi
Yumm. So how is it faring? The mere thought of chilling with your family and friends at your home in Delhi, while hogging down Hyderabadi Biryani and ending your meal with Baked Rosogollas from Kolkatta sounds like a pleasant dream. But then your second thoughts come in:
To answer these questions, here are some reviews that people shared on Twitter:
1. First, there are some who want to use this service but can't. Becoz they cannot find the Intercity option on the app. Just like me.
2. Then there are people who are celebrating the idea and enjoying whatever they got, without judgment
Looks like enjoying original Tundey Kebabs from Lucknow makes you forget all your worries.
3. Then there are those who are complaining. And unfortunately, the bad ones are really bad. Total mood off.
While one customer was delivered non-vegetarian food instead of their vegetarian order
another complained of his ''Sada hua khana''
But what happens when you are a Zomato investor? You still get a small box of Salan instead of Chicken Biryani, just like Twitter user Prateek Kanwal
But there is a benefit. He was at least redeemed by Team Zomato. (Probably because his Twitter complaint went viral. Also being a Zomato shareholder helps.)
But what about the rest of the complainants that did not go viral? How will they be redeemed?
