NS Harsha's five-month exhibition will come to a close in mid-June.

&lt;p id='p_1'&gt;NS Harsha is a well established contemporary Indian artist. He has had successful exhibitions all over the world and since February this year, the prestigious Mori art museum in Tokyo is exhibiting a mid-career retrospective featuring his works.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_2'&gt;This is a great honour for Harsha as well as India, as Mori art museum is one of the most popular museums in Tokyo and this is the first solo exhibition by Indian artist that has been organised there. The five-month exhibition will come to a close in mid-June. Already, it has been a grand success with tourists and locals.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_3'&gt;Harsha's works depict daily experiences in Mysore, southern India, where he is based, but also reflect wider cultural, political and economic issues linked to globalisation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_4'&gt;He has organised workshops with schoolchildren and has had them paint their visions of future on plain white shirts.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_5'&gt;The installation titled 'Nations' is a work in collaboration with Usha sewing machines and depicts how interwoven our lives are in spite of our boundaries and differences.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_6'&gt;The art of making plastic food is a big industry here in Japan. Harsha has used this craft in his dramatic installation 'Leftovers' to show what we as a society will leave behind and to create ambiguity by the absence of people.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_7'&gt;'Leftovers' is visually rich, intriguing and arouses your curiosity. Each viewer is invited to arrive at his or her own unique conclusion about what happened to the people at this banquet.&lt;/p&gt;
