In a Vogue Beauty Secrets video posted on YouTube, Ariana Grande couldn't hold back her tears as she candidly discussed her history of receiving a significant amount of lip filler and Botox when she was younger, and why she eventually ceased all cosmetic procedures in 2018.

The 30-year-old Grammy Award winner shared her skincare routine, makeup tips, and a 60s cat-eye look in Vogue's Beauty Secrets clip, which was uploaded to Vogue's YouTube page on September 12, Tuesday.

During the video, she revealed, "To be completely honest, as someone deeply involved in the beauty industry, I've undergone numerous lip filler procedures and received botox injections over the years. However, I decided to stop in 2018 because I felt it had become excessive. I just felt like I was concealing my true self, you know."

As she made this admission, Ariana Grande looked up, attempting to hold back her tears and prevent them from rolling down her cheeks.

Getting Candid

  • During this emotionally charged conversation, the American pop sensation added, "I didn't anticipate becoming so emotional. For a long time, I used beauty as a means to conceal myself, but now I feel differently, especially since I stopped getting fillers and Botox."
  • She said that she now fully embraces her natural beauty.
  • Grande, however, clarified in the 11-minute and 44-second YouTube video that she does not rule out the possibility of undergoing invasive cosmetic procedures such as lip filler and Botox in the future, and she doesn't judge those who choose to do so.
  • The R.E.M beauty founder explained, "Everyone has their own preferences, and I fully support whatever makes you feel beautiful. However, personally, I longed to see my well-earned laugh lines and smile lines. I hope my smile lines become deeper as I laugh more and more. I believe aging can be a beautiful thing."
