
Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, 38, and American rapper Tyga, 33, have ended their relationship after four months of dating. The pair first sparked romantic rumors in February when they were seen leaving Nobu Malibu in Los Angeles together.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the breakup was amicable and uncomplicated. "Tyga and Avril recently decided to go their separate ways. The relationship simply didn't work out, and they mutually agreed to part as friends." Both musicians are now focusing on their individual careers.
Back in February, when Avril Lavigne and Tyga were first linked romantically, Lavigne was still engaged to American rapper Mod Sun, 36. However, the singer later announced the end of her engagement with Mod Sun.
February 20, 2023: The Sk8er Boi singer and the Rack City rapper were spotted hugging and entering a car together after dining at Nobu in Los Angeles.
March 2, 2023: The former couple traveled to Paris to attend Paris Fashion Week and were photographed at Leonardo DiCaprio's party at Kuku.
March 6, 2023: They showed public displays of affection at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week. Photographers captured them holding hands and kissing, officially confirming their relationship.

March 18, 2023: Tyga gifted Avril Lavigne an $80,000 diamond necklace from New York City-based jeweler Eric Mavani. Lavigne was seen wearing the lavish necklace.
Before dating Tyga, Avril Lavigne had been engaged to Mod Sun for almost a year. Their engagement began in March 2022, with Mod Sun proposing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Tyga has previously been in an on-and-off relationship with American socialite and beauty mogul Kylie Jenner from around 2014 to 2017.
Prior to his involvement with Kylie Jenner, Tyga was in a relationship with Blac Chyna. The couple began dating in 2011 and had a son named King Cairo in 2012. Tyga and Blac Chyna ultimately parted ways in 2014.
Lavigne has also dated Brody Jenner, step-brother of Kylie Jenner, from 2010 to 2012.
