Sources revealed to TMZ that the breaking point came when Sam Asghari confronted Britney Spears about rumors of her unfaithfulness. Despite her consistent denials, Asghari remained convinced of her betrayal, resulting in a heated confrontation between the two.

Insiders disclosed to Entertainment Tonight that signs of strain had been evident in Britney Spears and Iranian-American model Sam Asghari's relationship for some time. Their marriage was marked by turbulence, leading to what was described as a "toxic" union.
Even prior to their marriage, the couple faced challenges, and over time, their disagreements intensified, significantly affecting their relationship.

Reports from TMZ also indicated that Sam Asghari, a 29-year-old fitness trainer, had been spending limited time at their shared residence, with Spears, 41, allegedly becoming physically confrontational during intense arguments. The couple had been living apart for an extended period.

Adding to the unfolding drama, sources disclosed to Page Six that Asghari is reportedly seeking a financial arrangement beyond the scope of their prenuptial agreement. Allegedly, he is prepared to divulge potentially damaging information about Britney in exchange for a larger settlement. This situation prompted a source to inform Page Six that Sam is "attempting to secure additional concessions beyond the stipulations of their prenup, coupled with a veiled threat to disclose deeply embarrassing details about Britney unless his demands are met."
However, Britney Spears is not backing down, having enlisted the services of divorce attorney Laura Wasser, a prominent legal advocate based in Los Angeles, known for representing A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Johnny Depp, among others.
