What happened in between: A lot of drama followed the arrest of KRK on August 30. KRK was arrested for the second time within a week. On September 5, he was arrested for a molestation case from 2021 that was filed at the Versova Police Station. The case was filed by a fitness trainer, for which he was produced before court on September 4.

KRK was granted bail in the 2019 molestation case on September 6.

What the court said: “I have thoughtfully considered rival written and oral grounds. In fact, the crime is of the year 2020 registered on the basis of a tweet alleged to be made by the accused. The prosecution not came with any incident occurred in consequence of the alleged tweet made by the accused. Maximum punishment for the major offence in present crime is less than or which may extend up to 7 years. Therefore, considering present trend for grant of bail in such category of cases, certainly the accused deserves to be released on bail on certain conditions,” Borivali Magistrate said while granting bail on September 6.

The accused is directed to be released on bail on executing Personal Bond of Rs 15,000 with a surety or cash security of equal amount. The accused shall attend concerned police station on second and fourth Monday between 10 and 11 am until filing of charge-sheet or for 60 days, whichever is less.
