Bollywood actor and self-styled critic Kamaal R Khan, AKA KRK, has walked out of jail after 9 days. He was arrested for his derogatory tweets from 2020 about actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan. KRK's tweets came after the death of Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan, and were in bad taste.

KRK was granted bail by a magistrate court in Borivali, Mumbai, Maharashtra on Wednesday in the tweet case. He was arrested by the Malad Police on August 29. His release process took place today at the Thane Police Station in Mumbai.
What happened in between: A lot of drama followed the arrest of KRK on August 30. KRK was arrested for the second time within a week. On September 5, he was arrested for a molestation case from 2021 that was filed at the Versova Police Station. The case was filed by a fitness trainer, for which he was produced before court on September 4.
KRK was granted bail in the 2019 molestation case on September 6.
What the court said: “I have thoughtfully considered rival written and oral grounds. In fact, the crime is of the year 2020 registered on the basis of a tweet alleged to be made by the accused. The prosecution not came with any incident occurred in consequence of the alleged tweet made by the accused. Maximum punishment for the major offence in present crime is less than or which may extend up to 7 years. Therefore, considering present trend for grant of bail in such category of cases, certainly the accused deserves to be released on bail on certain conditions,” Borivali Magistrate said while granting bail on September 6.
The Magistrate has also asked him “not to tamper with prosecution evidence or contact the witnesses, the accused shall not leave city of Mumbai without permission of the court.”
On September 7, KRK was granted bail by the magistrate court in the derogatory tweets case, following which, he walked out of Thane jail today, September 8.
