Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, might not be dating Israeli model, 19, but Twitter had a field day with Last of Us-level age gap

Leonardo DiCaprio and his obsession with dating younger women, preferably under 25, is common news at this point. But if we were to believe the rumours, the Oscar-winner has now moved on to dating teenagers!

19-year-old Israeli model Eden Polani is supposed to be Leo’s next romantic partner, joining a long list of ex-lovers that have hardly ever been above 25 (while dating the actor). 

But they are probably not dating.

The rumours began circulating ever since DiCaprio and Polani were spotted together during the release party for Detroit-based artist Ebony Riley’s debut EP, which was held on January 31, 2023 in Los Angeles, US. 

While gossip publications have already confirmed their relationship (despite no confirmation from both parties), LA-based E!News confirms that their sources tell them the two might not be dating after all. This source adds that it just happened that Eden and Leo were seated together at the party and that just because Leo was chatting with her doesn’t mean that he’s dating her. 

Given DiCaprio’s previous track record, it wouldn’t have been that surprising if he actually dated Polani... even if the public backlash against his dating patterns seems to continue.

The Last of Us age difference: Fans of HBO’s The Last of Us have already joined the bandwagon, sharing on social media how concerning the age gap is given how even Joel actor Pedro Pascal is currently 47 while his co-star Ellie actor Bella Ramsey is a 19-year-old. 

And Pascal and Ramsey’s characters are supposed to have a relationship reminiscent of a father and daughter!

Others on social media are making observations like Polani being so young that “her high school education was interrupted by Covid”. Here’s another hot take, “As a rule, if you’re old enough to remember 9/11 you cannot date someone whose school years were interrupted by Covid.”

Is Leo single now? As of last December, DiCaprio was reportedly dating 23-year-old model Victoria Lamas but he appears to be single at the moment given that he was spotted alone at recent parties such as the Spotify's Best New Artist Party (February 2) and The Chainsmokers’ “Party For No Reason” bash (February 3). 

Victoria Lamas' TV-actor dad Lorenzo Lamas himself cleared the air in a conversation with New York Post on December 28, 2022. He said that while his daughter is “smitten” with The Revenant actor, they are just friends and not in a relationship. 

Last year, DiCaprio was also temporarily linked with 27-year-old supermodel Gigi Hadid, which many saw as a change from his usual pattern of dating under-25 women. However, it seems like DiCaprio has not had a serious relationship ever since he broke up with Argentine-American model and actress Camila Morrone in August, 2022. Dating her when she turned 21, he broke up with her four years later when she turned... 25.
