Spare by Prince Harry has some bombshell revelations and here are the biggest ones

It seems that the six-part Netflix documentary was not enough; Prince Harry has a lot more "royal tea" to spill. His upcoming memoir Spare will release on January 10, but with the limited release of the Spanish edition and some advance copies that some folks have got their hands on, some of the revelations have already been spreading all over the Internet and tabloids are having a field day.

The book documents Harry's shroom trip, his alleged killing of 25 Talibani soldiers, elder brother Prince William physically assaulting him, his crush on Friends star Courtney Cox and a lot more. For a former royal who is often outspoken about his desire to stay away from the cameras, he's definitely attracting constant media attention! The royals' symbiotic relationship with the press seems to come into play yet again.

First, the name 'Spare': King Charles doesn't seem to be too fond of his second son, with Harry claiming that he just a "spare" for him ("a heir and spare" to be more specific).

Here are some of the biggest revelations from Prince Harry's Spare

Harry lost his virginity on a field in a weirdly-worded description: Spare is raunchy in parts, with Harry opening up about his sexual exploits and his (for whoever needed to know) circumcised penis. As for his first sexual encounter, he writes that he lost his virginity at the age of 17 in a grassy field behind a pub with his partner being an older woman. And then if it weren't enough, Harry uses some strange equesterian metaphors to describe the moment,
"She liked horses, quite a lot, and treated me not unlike a young stallion. Quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me to grace.”

The Nazi costume was William and Kate's idea: In Netflix's Harry & Meghan, the Prince might have flaunted his affection for African countries and the fact that he knows who George Floyd was. However, back in 2005, he was much-ridiculed for a tonedeaf Nazi costume (complete with a Hakenkreuz armband) that he wore at a "Colonialist and Native" costume party.

Now, he puts the blame on William and Kate Middleton, writing that he had phoned the couple before going to the party. The duo had a hearty laugh and told him to go ahead with it as it would be perfectly ridiculous, the very intention of the party.

Harry's frostbitten penis: Harry definitely doesn't spare any details about anything, even the time when had a "frostbitten todger". The freezing happened when he had embarked on a 200-mile Arctic charity walk, following which he had to attend William's wedding with his penis in the same state. While Charles is mostly described as an antagonistic figure in the book, this is the part where he has some sympathy to offer to his son!

"Pa was very interested, and sympathetic about the discomfort of my frost nipped ears and cheeks. While the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t. It was becoming more of an issue by the day.”

Killing 25 Talibani militants: While the royals mostly receive honorary military titles, Harry claims that he has been a man of action on the battlefield. While touching upon his youth in Spare, Harry details his time as a co-pilot and gunner on an Apache helicopter back in 2012-2013.

Describing his "Rambo" phase as one where fell neither guilt nor satisfaction, he compared his opponents to pieces on a chessboard. Oh, and he also claims that he has had a kill-count of 25: killing Talibani militants in Afghanistan. This is how he described his wartime exploits,

"Baddies eliminated before they could kill Goodies."

Harry believed in Diana conspiracy theories? For any high-profile celebrity death, a plethora of conspiracy theories branch out. Diana Spencer's fatal car crash was no exception, with some claiming that it was all a hoax and the ex-Princess faked her death. A young Harry himself fell prey to such hoaxes, thinking that his mother faked her death to divert the media and royal family away from her tumultuous life. To quote the excerpts that Page Six got their hands on,

"...the trick wasn’t being played by the people around me, or the press, but by Mummy. Her life’s been miserable, she’s been hounded, harassed, lied about, lied to. So she staged an accident as a diversion and run away."

Is Charles insecure of Meghan? Harry also adds that the current monarch of England could have "dreaded the cost of maintaining us [Harry and his wife Meghan Markle]" and was particularly not fond of Markle as he couldn't fathom the thought of  "someone new dominating the monarchy, grabbing the limelight, someone shiny and new coming in and overshadowing him."

William physically assaulted Harry: By now, it's common knowledge that the royal family was never fond of Meghan Markle, owing mainly to Markle's racial identity. Harry adds that William was not fond of her because he found her to be "difficult", "rude", among many other things. William's views led to a clash between the brothers that soon turned physical, with the older brother striking down the younger prince, pinning him down towards a dog bowl that cracked and left Harry with a visible back injury.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

Harry crushed hard on Courteney Cox and saw himself as Chandler: Harry describes a wild party at Courteney Cox's place where he embarked on a remarkable chocolate mushroom-induced trip. However, he did have his fan moment over there given how he confesses on having had a huge crush on the Friends and Scream actress.

"I was still confused because ... she was Monica. And I was a Chandler. I wondered if I’d ever work up the courage to tell her. Was there enough tequila in California to get me that brave?”

Experimentations with cocaine and shrooms: Prince Harry had always been labelled as a "bad boy" by the press for his drug and alcohol-fuelled antics. In Spare, he does claim that he started doing cocaine in his teenage, an experience that he's no longer proud of. His experimentations with psychedelics have been particularly memorable, with a vivid depiction of his "shroom" trip at Cox's pad. For instance, this is how he describes his visit to the restroom that night.

“I stepped on the pedal [a trash can's foot pedal] and the head opened its mouth. A huge open grin. I laughed.”

How are others reacting to Spare? While the press is more than happy, others seem to be tired of yet another attempt by Harry to make it to the headlines.

Talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at the leaked excerpts by saying that Harry and William's conflict ("result of generations of inbreeding" he says) seems like just another incident from Florida.

"Harry claims William called Meghan ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’ … he probably could have saved time and just said she’s American.”

TV personality and author Meghan McCain also added that Harry's struggles with the royal family are reaching a saturation point, jokingly tweeting, "We're set for another round."

Even the Taliban has something to say!

According to The Telegraph, Taliban spokesperson Khalid Zadran made a statement in Kabul last Friday where he asserted that Harry is a "big-mouth loser" seeking attention and that one day, he will face a trial for his actions against the terrorist organisation.

“Prince Harry will always be remembered in Helmand [a region in Afghanistan] – Afghans will never forget the killing of their innocent countrymen.”
