Tiger 3 prances towards Rs 200 crore in 2 days, with Salman Khan fans ecstatic

Salman Khan's grand Diwali release, Tiger 3, has raked in Rs 102.2 crore in just two days, proving the star's massive appeal among single-screen and multiplex audiences. The movie collected approximately Rs 44.5 crore in India on its opening day (November 12), turning out to be Khan’s biggest opening ever.

Tiger 3 collected Rs 94 crore worldwide on its first day, and is now swiftly approaching the Rs 200-crore mark in just 2 days.

• The film’s collection jumped on the second day, with Tiger 3 Rs 57.52 crore on its second day, as per industry sources.
• Tiger 3 has also registered the highest opening in the international market, collecting Rs 41.5 crore on its first day. 
• The movie has also become the 17th 100-crore film for Salman Khan, the highest for any star.
• Tiger 3 is now approaching Rs 200-crore mark globally, with no big movie set to release.

Fans hail Tiger 3

• ‘Bhai’ fans have gone gaga over Tiger 3’s action sequences and storyline, with cameos of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan being the icing on the cake.
• Several fans were seen sporting the keffiyeh scarf around their necks, imitating Khan’s traditional style in the Tiger series.

A much-needed hit for Salman Khan

• Tiger 3 also marks a breather for Salman Khan, who has been struggling with a string of flops in the past few years. 
• In the last few years, several of Salman Khan’s movies like Race 3, Bharat, Dabaang 3, Radhe, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan had left his fans disappointed.
• Tiger 3, the third instalment in the Tiger series, which is a part of YRF’s spy universe, was touted to be the game-changer for Salman Khan.
• While the first part, Ek Tha Tiger, was directed by Kabir Khan, and sequel Tiger Zinda Hai directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the third part is directed by Maneesh Sharma (of Band Baaja Baaraat fame).
