3 wrestlers you might be seeing for the last time at WWE WrestleMania

In World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), retirements are not permanent but it depends on the fitness level and professional zeal of a wrestler to make a comeback. Back-to-back matches in the ring and the tours take a toll on the wrestlers.

At this year's WrestleMania 39, there are going to be some great matches newcomers and veteran wrestlers squaring off in the ring. But even as we are excited to see the top wrestlers fight, it could also be the last Wrestlemania for some of them who are either not in their best shapes or are finding it difficult to keep up with the daily grind of WWE.

Here are 3 wrestlers you might be seeing for the last time in WrestleMania:

1. Brock Lesnar: It might come as a surprise for many, but the fact is the company might be giving Brock Lesnar some time off and WrestleMania is the perfect event for it. At WrestleMania 39, Lesnar is supposed to lock horns with Omos, a booking which the WWE Universe has not appreciated. But the fact is, the match might just be a build up for Omos to take over the legacy of "The Beast" in WWE.

It was earlier expected that Lesnar would cross over with Bobby Lashley for the final time at WrestleMania. But it seems the company is making the stage bigger for Omos, who would be in line with giant performers like Lesnar, Lashley and Braun Strowman.

The rumours of Lesnar leaving WWE intensified further when it was reported few days back that Lesnar was seen bidding Good-Bye to fellow wrestlers after Monday's episode of Raw on March 6. Lesnar was reported to be telling his fellow colleagues that he's "finishing up".

So, how is going it happen? Most probably, Lesnar and Omos are expected to put up a great show, and in the end, Lesnar would pe putting over Omos and finally going on a sabbatical for a long time from WWE.

2. Edge: The Rated-R Superstar is having a great ride ever since he made a return to the ring in 2019. After taking retirement from wrestling in 2007 following a neck injury, the second and the most unexpected return of Edge took his fans by surprise.

His return however, remained incomplete as Covid-19 struck after his return and WrestleMania 37 had to be conducted in an empty arena.

Edge and Finn Balor's storyline is quite interesting and most likely, the two are set to clash at WrestleMania 39. Finn Balor is a young and raw superstar who has come from NXT and has crafted his place in the company.

Most likely, Edge will lose the match to Balor at WrestleMania and he might be out of action for some time after the event. And we don't know in what capacity will he be back in WWE.

3. Rey Mysterio: The 619 star has achieved what most wrestlers aspire for. Mysterio has not only achieved heights in his career as a wrestler, but he has also brought in and groomed his son Dominik Mysterio in the company.

His storyline with Dominik is in the last stages and we are not far from the day when Mysterio finally accepts the challenge from his son, who has been vying for a physical brawl with him.

Most likely, it would be a match on a stipulation put up by Dominik that if Rey loses, he quits the company. And this is how Rey Mysterio will put over his son in the company. Rhea Ripley is going to be an X factor in the match as she will affect the outcome of the fight as Dom is in a heel character while Rey is the babyface.

So, Rey might also be headed for the last WrestleMania of his career.

WrestleMania 39 is expected to take place on April 1-2 at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California.
