Desi folks on X are nervous and excited with another India vs Australia World Cup final in sight after 2003

The happiness of Indian cricket fans on seeing India making it to the finals of the World Cup 2023 has somewhat reduced, as another India-Australia World Cup final is in sight.

Though the verdict is still not out, and the game is on, South Africa losing six wickets in quick succession have led many fans on X speculating another final against Australia, reminiscing the defeat of 2003 World Cup final. In 31 overs, South Africa lost 6 wickets, making it look tough for the team to make it to the final.

However, Australia has yet to play their innings. At this point, the cards look in favour of Australia... and Indian fans are both nervous and excited at the prospect of another World Cup final between India and Australia after 20 years.

The dreaded World Cup final in 2003

• The Indian team under Sourav Ganguly lost the 2003 World Cup in South Africa by 125 runs, as the Men in Blue succumbed at 234, chasing the mighty target of 360.
