Whenever I look back at April 2022, all I'm going to remember is this godawful heatwave, hiked cab prices and not being able to afford lemons. But if there's anything that can make me feel better, it's creating Instagram reels.

So, here are 10 Instagram trends that you definitely need to try, to hopefully forget that is wrong with April 2022:

1. FEEL ROYAL WITH CHAND SIFARISH

Gravero's mashup of Gangubai Kathiawadi's Meri Jaan with Fanaa's Chand Sifarish is making everyone on Instagram swoon. Users are channeling their inner royal by twirling around in their fanciest clothes at historical sites. Check this beautifully shot reel for inspiration:

2. DESI BRIDGERTON

Netflix's Bridgerton Season 2 has created a Regency-sized hole in our heart. While for some, this void may be for a certain Viscount, desi viewers are desperate to get their hand on the Ton's ladies' outfits.

So, what better way to fill the void than by creating a reel on the desi version of the Ton's glamorous gowns, of course with Bridgerton's rendition of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham's title song:

3. ALL THAT GLITTERS ISN'T GOLD

This age-old saying has stood the test of time and has now been turned into a catchy song, that even celebrities can't stay away from. Watch this video for inspiration on how to create a reel on this song:

4. GROCERY QUESTIONS

The sound of the checkout counter at a grocery store is well-ingrained in all of our minds. And what better sound to use to communicate our biggest (and funniest) life questions?

Here is a reel to give you an idea on how to use this sound:

5. NO NO NO

Ever wanted to say, 'no, no, no' to someone or something in the most musical way possible? Well, then this is the trend for you! So, don't delay hopping on this massively viral trend and if you're confused on how to create this reel, here is a video that you can take inspiration from:

6. AS IT WAS

Harry Styles's new song, As It Was, is making the rounds on Instagram. While there is no certain trend that this song is used for, the song is going viral for its happy vibes. To help you along your journey of creating a reel on this song, here is a video:

7. VACATION FOR ME

Remember when we said 'the mountains are calling?' Turns out people have taken it a notch higher and made a literal interpretation of it. A vacation is calling (everyone, tbh). And as we all know, it's not a vacation unless you make a reel on it. So, use this reel as inspiration and start shooting:

8. BADI MUSHKIL MEETS PLAIN JANE

We're all a sucker for music mashups and this DJ Amsal mashup is making us groove to it. This combination of Badi Mushkil from the movie Lajja and ASAP Ferg's Plain Jane has its very own choreography for you to perform on.

To create this reel, all you've got to do is bring out your dancing shoes and follow this video:

9. CHOOSE YOUR TREND

AMARIA BB's song, Slow Motion is one of the most popular reel songs on Instagram, and users have created two trends on it.

Either you can flaunt your clothing fit like this video:

Or you can use it with the caption, 'POV: I am your nationality flag girlfriend/boyfriend' and make a video of your best pictures. Here is a reel for your inspiration:

10. YO VOY

Maddie from Euphoria made this Zion and Lennox song extremely popular and just like Maddie, what better song to use to flaunt your clothing fits?

Check out this reel to see how this fit-check is being done:

Now that you know what's trending, which reel will you be making next?
