Even before its release, Ashneer Grover's memoir Doglapan has become a bestseller on Amazon. The BharatPe co-founder and Shark Tank India judge has done all that's possible to promote his book and keep himself in the spotlight, including, now, a dig at social-media influencer and author Ankur Warikoo. Warikoo is the author of a book called Get Epic Shit Done.
Recently, while promoting his own book on Twitter, Ashneer Grover cracked a joke on the CEO of nearby.com, social media influencer and author Ankur Warikoo.
What happened? Grover was asked by a student on Twitter to decrease the cost of his book so that it can be available to the masses. The user suggested that the price of the book should be under Rs 200.
In response, Grover suggested a cheaper alternative, Get Epic Shit Done by Ankur Warikoo.
Kafi mehnga hai sir..Thoda sasta kijiye..humlog students hai..under 200 me sell kijiye..mass product banega tab https://t.co/zLvQVf4iKN

Ashneer Grover's book is priced at Rs 368 on Amazon whereas Warikoo's Get Epic Shit Done is available at Rs 299 on Amazon.

Pricing could have been lower...example....Chetan Bhagat is a bestseller and you will note all his books are priced around 100-150/-. One doesn't have to think twice before buying. And it sells by tonnes

Someone also pointed out how Grover's dig at Warikoo indirectly ended up promoting Warikoo.... something that would have cost the social-media influencer a few thousand rupees.
BharatPe controversy: Ashneer Grover's Twitter war of words come at a time when he is embroiled in a criminal and civil lawsuit launched by his own company. BharatPe filed a lawsuit against Grover and his family members including his wife Madhuri Jain Grover, who was the head of controls at the company.
