Donald Trump's alleged history of engaging in inappropriate and offensive behaviour has once again come into focus, following accounts from a former Trump administration official that detail numerous instances of sexism, including disturbing incidents involving Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump.
The former US president has faced accusations of displaying creepy and misogynistic behavior, as highlighted in Miles Taylor's book, Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump.
Trust me. It will be so much worse in a second term: https://t.co/ajIOBJAFkF

Taylor, a former Trump administration official, reveals several incidents of overt sexism, some involving Ivanka Trump, shedding light on Trump's questionable conduct towards women and raising concerns about his treatment of women within his administration.
According to Taylor's book, aides claimed that Trump made inappropriate remarks about Ivanka's physical appearance and engaged in explicit discussions about potential sexual encounters with her, even going so far as to imagine such encounters with his own daughter. These shocking incidents reportedly resulted in a reprimand from Trump's chief of staff.

The testimonies from former employees, coupled with a New York jury's ruling that held Trump accountable for alleged sexual assault and defamation of journalist E Jean Carroll, contribute to an increasing body of evidence regarding Trump's alleged mistreatment of women.
Although Trump denies any wrongdoing and is appealing the Carroll verdict, his alleged behavior may pose challenges to his potential re-election in 2024 (though if we’re being honest, it unfortunately won’t make much of a difference)
The book highlights the experiences of female leaders in the Trump administration who faced unequal treatment and outright sexism. Taylor points out that many of these women have remained silent about their encounters with Trump's inappropriate behavior.

The incidents described in the book range from Trump making derogatory comments and using patronizing nicknames towards women, such as calling Kirstjen Nielsen, who served as Secretary of Homeland Security, "sweetie" and "honey," to berating and criticizing female leaders within the administration.
Kellyanne Conway, a senior counselor in the Trump administration, reportedly referred to Trump as a "misogynistic bully" after witnessing his harsh treatment of women leaders during a meeting. Trump's frustration with border-related matters during that meeting led him to direct his anger towards Nielsen and other staff members.
One of the most disturbing aspects revealed in Taylor's book is Trump's lewd comments about his own daughter, Ivanka. Aides recounted Trump talking about Ivanka's physical attributes, including her breasts and backside, and engaging in explicit discussions about having sex with her.
Thread & a new book. "Aides said Trump talked about Ivanka Trump's breasts, her backside & what it might be like to have sex with her, remarks that once led (former Chief of Staff) John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka was his daughter" https://t.co/pE5Nad3s1E https://t.co/iptySJjlVY

This behavior reportedly prompted former US Chief of Staff, John Kelly to remind Trump that Ivanka is his daughter. One can only imagine how that conversation went. "Now, Mr. President, discussing sexual encounters with your own daughter is a bit... frowned upon." Good to know that even Trump's own staff had to step in and clarify some basic familial boundaries.
The book also highlights the concern that Trump has not undergone any significant change and remains the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Taylor expresses apprehension about the potential consequences if Trump were to secure a second term, emphasizing that the impact could be even more severe than during his previous tenure.

Trump's inappropriate comments about Ivanka are not limited to the book. In a 2006 appearance on ABC's The View, he made a disturbing remark suggesting that if Ivanka weren't his daughter, he would consider dating her. Such comments raise serious questions about Trump's respect for women, including his own family members.
The incidents described by Taylor serve as a reminder of the disgusting attitudes and actions that have been attributed to Trump throughout his career, particularly concerning his treatment of women. It's impressive how Trump manages to deny any wrongdoing even when faced with a growing mountain of evidence. Maybe he missed the chapter on accountability in the Art of the Deal.

While Trump and his spokesperson have not yet responded to the specific allegations outlined in Taylor's book, these revelations contribute to a broader pattern of misogynistic behaviour exhibited by the former president. One can be sure that Trump will respond to these allegations with his usual grace and humility. Or maybe he'll just fire off a few angry posts on his social media platform
Truth Social in all-caps.
