EXO Baekhyun to voice character in League of Legends virtual boy band

The K-pop sensation EXO's member, Baekhyun, is set to lend his voice to a character in the all-boy virtual group named Heartsteel, slated to make an appearance at the League of Legends World Championship 2023.

Comprising six members, the virtual band promises an intriguing lineup. Here's what we know thus far.

• The League of Legends World Championship, renowned as Worlds, is an annual global tournament for professional League of Legends players, meticulously organised by Riot Games.

• Each year, the tournament traverses various major countries and regions. Notably, South Korea's T1 stands as the most successful team in the tournament's history, securing three world championships.

• The 2023 League of Legends World Championship is currently underway in South Korea from October 10 to November 19, featuring twenty-two teams from nine regions locked in fierce competition.

• The event's theme song, titled "Gods," performed by NewJeans, was released on October 4.

This year, Riot Games has chosen to introduce a virtual boy band for Worlds 2023.

• This ensemble offers a fresh take on six beloved champions from League of Legends - Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, K'Sante, and Sett.
• Don't forget to mark your calendar for the grand unveiling of Heartsteel's debut track and music video, "Paranoia," hitting the airwaves on Monday, October 23, at 8 AM PST (Pacific Standard Time) or 8:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) across all major music platforms.

• Heartsteel's style and sound seamlessly blend modern music collectives with influences from various music eras and genres.
• Adding to the excitement, Heartsteel has teamed up with prominent figures from the music industry, including Baekhyun, the lead vocalist of the K-pop sensation EXO, Cal Scruby, the prodigious rap artist from Los Angeles, ØZI, the Taiwanese-American artist celebrated for his lyrical finesse, and Tobi Lou, the accomplished Nigerian hip-hop and rap maestro.
