Donald Trump has etched his name in history by becoming the sole former US President to have his mug shot taken and publicly released. The iconic image was captured on August 24, Thursday, when Trump voluntarily presented himself at an Atlanta jail. This event transpired as a consequence of allegations linked to his purported efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Trump's booking photo became available on Thursday night following his surrender at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, marking his fourth indictment this year.

Facing a total of 13 charges in the Georgia election case, including racketeering, conspiracy, and soliciting a public official to breach their oath of office, Trump stands accused of attempting to influence and reverse the outcome of the 2020 elections in Georgia, as reported by CNN.
The former President arrived at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta on Thursday evening, attired in a dark blue suit and a red tie. After turning himself in, he underwent the process of booking and was arrested on 13 felony counts.
Under the inmate number P01135809, Trump's details were recorded in jail records, listing his height as 6 feet 3 inches, weight at 215 pounds, with "blond or strawberry hair" and blue eyes. It was during this procedure that his mug shot was taken.
Trump's release on bond
Following the approximately 20-minute booking procedure, Trump was swiftly released. This prompt release was facilitated by a pre-negotiated consent bond agreement amounting to $200,000, alongside other conditions that included refraining from using social media to intimidate co-defendants or potential witnesses in the case, as previously negotiated with his legal team.
District Attorney Fani Willis has requested that Trump and the other 18 co-defendants involved in the alleged election interference be arraigned together during the first week of September. The trial date has been requested for October 23. The list of defendants encompasses not only Trump but also figures like his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and others.
Upon his release and prior to boarding his plane to return to his New Jersey home, Donald Trump addressed the press at Atlanta airport, stating, "We did nothing wrong at all. And we have every right, every single right to challenge an election that we think is dishonest," according to CBS News. Trump also criticised the charges leveled by the Fulton County, labeling them a "travesty of justice."
