A man entered a Vande Bharat Express and thought he will take some selfies to boast about travelling in a premier train and then get out. But it turned out to be a costly mistake for him as he could not get down in time.

What happened: A passenger, who had boarded the Vande Bharat Express without a ticket at Rajahmundry station, also known as Rajamahendravaram, to click a few pictures of the new train, could not get down in time as the automatic doors closed, and was forced to travel up to Vijayawada.

  • In the video, the man could be seen requesting the ticket collector to open the door. "Who comes inside the train to take pictures? Do you have any sense? You can't open the door now. It will stop next in Vijayawada," the ticket collector said to the man.
  • The railway officials, however, let him off after counselling and without charging any fine, reported The Hindu.
  • Vande Bharat's new train service from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam is the first one connecting the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, covering a distance of around 700 km. It was launched virtually on January 15.
