23-year-old Shweta Sharda is representing India at the 72nd Miss Universe Pageant taking place in El Salvador on November 18, Saturday. Here's all you need to know about her.
Who is Shweta Sharda?
- 23-year-old Shweta Sharda is an Indian model, dancer, and beauty pageant titleholder hailing from Chandigarh.
- She was crowned the Miss Universe India 2023 and is all set to represent India at the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador.
- Shweta Sharda was the winner of Miss Diva 2023, the 11th edition of the Miss Diva pageant which was held on August 27, 2023.
- Sharda moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 with her mother.
- She has also appeared in several reality shows including Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, and Dance Plus. She was also a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
- Education: Shweta holds a Bacherlor's degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University, according to Femina Beauty Pageants.
While speaking with ANI, Shweta Sharda said, "Every girl in India dreams of a crown so she can represent India. To be able to represent your country on an international platform is a huge achievement in life. I am very blessed and grateful to have gotten this opportunity. I look forward for a great journey. I am going to give my best and bring the (Miss Universe) crown home."
Miss Universe 2023
Recently, Shweta Sharda took the stage at the 72nd Miss Universe Preliminary Evening Gown competition. She looked breathtaking in a blue gown by renowned designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna.
Last year, at Miss Universe 2022, Divita Rai represented India. Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu represented India at Miss Universe in 2021 and brought the crown home.
