The Sukesh Chandrashekhar scandal gets yet another dramatic development as now entertainer Nora Fatehi claims that she has nothing to do with the conman’s financial misadventures. She has filed a defamation suit against fellow actress Jacqueline Fernandez and a handful of media houses, adding that the ongoing media trial is damaging her reputation and making her lose out on some major endorsements.
Is Jackie intentionally dragging Nora? Well, Fatehi clearly supports this theory in her plea. The major allegations against Fernandez is that she made "defamatory imputations due to malicious reasons".
Additionally, Fatehi also says that Fernandez dragged her in the money laundering case to intentionally sabotage her career.
To quote her plea,
What are Nora’s other claims? As opposed to the recent media reports, Fatehi dismisses all claims to have been closely attached to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar (who is currently in jail). She says that she has never been in direct contact with him and that the only connection she has had with him is through his wife Lena Maria Paul.
Similarly, contrary to media claims, Fatehi also denies taking any gifts from Chandrasekhar, whose modus operandi seemed to be luring women with fancy presents like designer bags and horses and cats worth lakhs.
What’s going on with Jacqueline? Fatehi’s defamation suit against Fernandez comes in the wake of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) grilling both actresses to understand their connections with Chandrasekhar’s money laundering allegations.

Facing the scrutiny of the court and media herself, Fernandez herself submitted a written plea to a PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court saying that she is being falsely implicated by the ED while also throwing in Fatehi’s name as one of the celebrities to have accepted gifts from Chandrasekhar.
What else is up with Nora: Fatehi can also be seen in today’s episode of the (fake?) reality show Moving In With Malaika in which she throws a fit when choreographer Terrence Lewis asks her to dance with Malaika Arora on the latter’s breakout song Chaiyya Chaiyya. As per the episode teaser, Fatehi says, “I have to give value to myself too, you know”, and walks out.
Let’s see if she walks off with the same amount of sass in her next court hearing or ED questioning session.
As for Jacqueline Fernandez, she is yet to issue a response. Meanwhile, as this scandal gets more scandalous with every passing day, executives at OTT platforms might already be pitching ideas for an upcoming docu-series or drama on the entire drama (unless they too get sued for defamation)!
