Uttam Bhardwaj from Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad had the biggest jolt of his life when he came to know that he had mistakenly entered the wrong number to check his UPSC Civil Services Exam result.
On Wednesday, Uttam thought that he had secured all India rank of 121 in the UPSC exam as he had entered the wrong number by mistake. The whole family was happy about his selection.
The next day, when they came to know about the confusion.
Uttam’s roll number was 3516894, and by mistake, he noted down the wrong number: 3516891.
He shared this news in a written apology to media, to whom he had given interviews, the previous day.
In a written apology, he said, “I Uttam, hereby, with bottom of my heart, feel very sorry that by mistake I noted down the wrong roll number in my documents diary. This lead to the misinformation about my UPSC selection. Kindly forgive me for this.”

It is reported that the boy is shattered and has isolated himself. He is also not talking to anybody. He blames himself for the 'humiliation' he brought to himself and his parents.
