In a surprising development, a renowned celebrity chef operating a popular restaurant in Perth, Australia, has sparked controversy by implementing a "vegan ban" at his establishment.
The decision stemmed from a heated altercation with a dissatisfied customer, escalating the situation into an unfortunate dispute.

What led to the ban?
Fyre, a restaurant helmed by British chef John Mountain, located in the northern suburbs of Perth, announced the ban on its social media platforms with the caption, "Yep, I'm done."
The ban was triggered by a customer's complaint about the lack of vegan options on the menu, as well as being charged $32 for a plate of vegetables.
Mountain defended his position, stating that it is impossible to cater to everyone's preferences at all times.
While acknowledging that the restaurant does not specifically focus on catering to vegans, he suggested that individuals seeking vegan options should consider dining elsewhere.
"Please go find another kebab shop somewhere that's happy to give you that plastic rubbish you enjoy to eat so much. Go and enjoy your life somewhere else.”

With approximately 30 years of experience in the industry, including working with renowned chef Marco Pierre White, Mountain expressed offense, stating, "I've worked for some of the best chefs in the world, and to be told that you're not good enough by some kind of influencer-type vegan person... kill me."
