
The American National History Museum announced the winners for their annual Wildlife Photographer Awards this year in an awards ceremony in London on Tuesday.
Having received over 38,000 submissions from 93 different countries, the entries were judged by an international panel of experts on their originality, narrative, technical excellence, and ethical practice.
American photographer Karine Aigner became just the fifth woman in the competition's 58-year history to be awarded the Grand Title award of Wildlife Photographer of the Year for the photograoh she captured titled, "The big buzz", which features a group of bees in a bundle, attempting to mate.
