A 17-year-old is not old enough to drive in our country, but most of us had to take a rather life-defining decision at this age - yes, a decision on our career. We are expected to follow a linear path in life. It is usually not easy to take career detours once you're done with that decision at 17. As such, it is inevitable that we will wonder whether we made the right choice. Now that I have lost my rose-coloured glasses, I know that money does matter and that I cannot live multiple lives in one, but I'm still not sure if this is what I was supposed to be doing.
