How the NRC turmoil is worrying Hindu refugees from Pakistan

Ashutosh Mishra | August 03,2018

The fate of 120 Hindu families from Pakistan depends on the government's decision.

Even as the authorities struggle to figure out the fate of 40 lakh people who did not find their names in the Assam NRC draft, calls are already being made to extend the NRC to across the country and bring under its ambit many more refugees, such as the 120 Hindu families from Pakistan who have been living on a visa in the Majnu Ka Tila area in Delhi.

These families had migrated from Pakistan in 2013 and have been living on extended visa since then and could be deported back to the neighbouring country if the NRC is implemented in the national capital.
