If you thought you have seen every crazy thing that can happen on a flight, wait, there's some more. Controversial Brazilian funk singer MC Pipokinha's video from a flight's cockpit is going viral. • Fortunately, the flight was not in the air and was on the ground. A pilot was also seen in the video sitting next to her. He even asks her not to take her pants off, but the singer pays no heed.

  • So far there are no details about the incident. It isn't known when the incident took place or how the singer was allowed inside the cockpit.
  • Moreover, it is not yet known whether GOL Airlines has taken note of the incident, or whether an investigation has been launched.
  • GOL Airlines is a Brazilian low-cost carrier.

Who is MC Pipokinha?

  • Doroth Helena de Sousa Alves is a 24-year-old Brazilian funk singer who goes by the name MC Pipokinha (meaning little popcorn). She is known for her hypersexual songs and performances.
  • She has been a subject of public criticism in Brazil for a number of scandals including performing live sexually suggestive acts during a recent concert, allowing a naked fan to perform oral sex on her during another concert, sharing a video of two cats licking her nipples, and more.

  • For the cat part, she was being investigated for zoophilia.
  • The singer also had her Instagram account banned.

Can anyone enter the cockpit?

  • Rules on entering the cockpit of a plane vary from airline to airline and country to country. Generally speaking, airlines in the West and Europe are more lax on norms about who can enter the cockpit.
  • Passengers can enter the cockpit before, after, or during a flight at the discretion of the pilot.
  • Usually, if someone is allowed with the pilot's permission into the cockpit, they sit in the jumpseat, which is the seat behind the pilot's seat.
  • In India, the rules are strict on who can enter the cockpit. According to a 2019 notification by the DGCA, only authorised members of the government, airplane crew, maintenance team, and other authorised persons can enter the cockpit.

  • DGCA was in fact investigating a case of an Air India pilot allowing a woman friend to enter the cockpit and sit in the jumpseat. The incident took place in February 2023 and a complaint by a crew member was sent to the authorities.
