Almost everyone’s first every other email account is a Gmail account. We have been using it since our school days. Sending an email used to be a fun exercise earlier but now it seems tedious. Its a task to read all those mails, reply to the important ones and delete the unnecessary ones. Almost everyone’s Gmail Inbox is overflowing with mails all the time.

Since, Gmail is a crucial part of everyone’s life these days, there is no harm in knowing a few tips and tricks that can improve user experience.

1. Unsend mails

Yes, you can unsend mails on Gmail but for a very short while. We all have been there when we want to unsend a mail and save ourselves from embarrassment.

Gmail helps you recall and realise your mistakes for a few seconds. Whenever you send a mail, you get a small notification which says, mail sent. There are two options next to this: Undo and view message.

You can unsend the mail till the time that dialogue box is right there. You can also set up this cancellation period for 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds.

2. See unread messages

Sometimes you can miss an important mail because there are too many in your mailbox.

Therefore, simply filter unread emails and you are done.

You can simply type 'unread' in the search bar and press enter. All unread mails will appear.

3. Add labels

If you love to keep your stuff organised, add labels to your mails and categorise them.

You can add colour code to these labels. This will make managing emails easier and your mailbox will become visually appealing.

4. Add image as a signature

If you don’t like writing your name each time at the end of the mail, simply add an image.

You can add your signature, business name, business logo and whatever you want.

You can find this in 'Signature' setting.

5. Schedule your mail

This feature is a life-saver. You can still send mails when not present via this feature.

Scheduling helps you send a mail at time and date of your choice.
