Apple rolls out iOS 15.6.1 with a warning. Here's how you can update your iPhone

The latest version of iOS is here. The iOS 15.6.1 is live just a few days before the big Apple event and this time the company has urged all the users to update their devices at the earliest.

The new iOS comes with a warning to update it now. “This update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users,” urged Apple to all the users.

Why is this update important? Apple has fixed the two major security issues in this update. These security issues generally attack iPhone users. Apple has mentioned that it is important to keep the device up to date to keep your devices secure.

“Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited,” the company said on its support page.

Firstly, Apple has first fixed the vulnerability in the iPhone Kernel tracked as CVE-2022-32894.

The second issue was the flaw in the WebKit, which is the browser engine that powers Safari. This flow could allow arbitrary code execution.

How to update the latest iOS on your iPhones:

1. First, you need to back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. During updates, it is extremely crucial to plug your phone into power. Therefore, connect your phone to the charger as well as keep the internet connection active with the help of Wifi.

3. Now, switch on your device, go to settings, and tap on general. Now you will see the software update option.

4. Download and update your device and you are done.

Note: Do not unplug your device from power.

The big Apple event of the year: Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 14, Apple watch series 8, new Macs and much more on September 7. The new iOS 16 is also under beta testing which might come with the new device.

The iOS 15.6.1 came as an important update just before the big annual Apple event.

What else to expect from the event: Apple will also unveil low-end and high-end iPads and 3 Apple watches.

Some reports suggest that the new iPhone will not cost a lot more than iPhone 13 but iPhone 14 will have a drastic difference.

The new iPhone is usually available in stores one-and-a-half week after the launch event. This year you might be able to get your hands on iPhone 14 on September 16.
